RAVEN
RAVEN is a magnificent replica wooden ship, constructed in Bushfield, near Warrnambool in South Western Victoria, Australia. RAVEN is a full-size, sailing recreation of a fifteenth century caravel. Inspired by the South West's legendary Mahogany Ship, RAVEN is Australia's oldest ship recreation, and a truly unique endeavour. This amazing project has been researched, designed and constructed by one amateur boatbuilder, Graeme Wylie. RAVEN has been constructed entirely from reclaimed timber, without causing a single tree to be felled. RAVEN measures twenty-one metres, and when fully burdened, will weigh seventy tonnes. We are now preparing RAVEN for the enormous road trip to her launching, planned for early 2011, at Port Fairy, Victoria.
